URLtv drops their latest battle, Tech 9 vs Rich Dolarz. Hailing from Philly, Tech 9 is a SMACK/URLtv and battling veteran known for his brash and strong delivery. New York’s Rich Dolarz is one of the younger battle rappers on the scene who has done extremely well against some big opponents. This was a very entertaining and close battle between the two.
Tech 9 had some good lines in this battle. He had bars like “Goodz, I know what you mean n*, another skinny leg jean n*”, “Imma light your block up like Billy Jean n*”, ”I bust, she went to spit it out, I said ‘no in my car’…..she jumped out, I took off beeping the horn”, “ pop-off – this your squad?”, “Im old school like peanut butter on a mouse trap”, “infected gun wounds, your whole body will pour puss”, “Im in your crib will my foot up on your sofa, and my feet’s ashy”, “50 took 9 imagine how 10 feel”, and “another Bronx rapper, I can Goodz and rip the top off like spinach”.
Rich Dolarz also had a strong three rounds, and many great lines in this one. He had punchlines like “Hard-a-way, like Penny, you ain’t the one sent/cent”, “those cats would have been lying/lions if they said you did well against the animal”, “she reminds me of pizza, topping for/four cheese”, “like Jamie Foxx, I don’t stay in the hotel unless Fancy in it”, “cleaned my fresh prints/prince off the wheel, while I listened to Jazz”, “like Moesha, Im still on cue/Q when Im fucking with that Brandy”, the gun name scheme, “I’ll let this pest-a-side/cide thats how I handle rats”, “getting this cheese is something I got a craft/Kraft for”, “when I put the eagle and hawk to your bird, I bet she screamed owl/ow”, “when it was done, he still gave Jackson 5″, “9 to 5 no day shift”, and “your shorty blow…fan club”.

The Report:
This was a very interesting match-up, where Tech 9 and Rich Dolarz is a real clash of styles. On one hand, Tech 9 has an undeniable charisma and personality in the ring, which really comes out in his branded delivery that is unmatched. In every line, he’s clowning on you, and his punchlines are very literal and straight forward. Rich’s style is very contrasting. He’s got more of that New York style, where its heavy wordplay, puns, double meanings, etc. Its really creative ways to twist words and its very effective because its thought provoking and takes a lot of skill to do.
I though that Tech 9′s first and his third rounds were his strongest, but he can get the crowd going just because of his style and his persona on the stage. I thought Rich was pretty consistent in every round, each round was very solid for him.
