The Punchline Summary:

Assault and Battling brings you another great battle from their LA Riot event, with Madness battling Heartless.  Madness has seemingly been battling everywhere as of late, from No Coast where he battled Mudslinger to Don’t Flop where he took on Cruger, and now in Assault and Battling.  Stockton’ own Heartless is coming off a big battle against Big Kannon on the URL stage.

Madness had a bunch of funny lines in this battle.  In his rounds, he had bars like “you’re daddy acts and now you wanna rap – Willow Smith”, “I will wake up and scream on your every morning like you live with Dizaster”, “I bet you kiss your girl and go scissor her after”, “Nirvana – Heart shaped box”, “Hot Tub Time Machine”, “movie references because none of you motherfuckers are real to me”, the Marvwon flip, and the “he blasted you back in time and shit on your like Biff Tannon” line.

Heartless had  some great lines in this battle as well, with bars like ‘Leonardo in Inception cause he only live in other people’s dreams”, “movie buff …the only buff about him”, “move to Utah because he heard there More-men/Mormon and they Bring em young/Brighman Young”, “take him back to school then give him the business – Billy Madison”, “like Flavor Flav cause every time he does a show he loses abroad/a broad”, “made a name for myself, Im Ochocinco”, “he ate the proof, what do you expect, it was in the pudding”, “I’ll cut this fat boy like basketball try outs”, and “I got 16 in the clip, your man get 12….March Madness or you’ll get the Final 4″.

The Report:

This is a match up that I never thought of, but it turned out to be a very entertaining battle.  It was a real clash of styles, with Madness in one corner – movie references, funny punchlines, and of course faggot jokes, and Heartless in the other –  known for his thought provoking puns and gun rhymes.  Both of these guys kind of blended their styles to match up with each, with Madness having a lot really tough lines about Mafiosos and cutting dudes, and Heartless having a ton of (fat) jokes.  It was really interesting and entertaining to see Heartless vary his concepts a little.

Madness has battled all over the world recently, travelling everywhere from Australia, to Florida, to the Midwest, and to the UK.  That’s how popular this dude is and has always been.  Leagues want him to battle for them because he’s entertaining as well as great competition for their best because he’s a skilled battler.  One league he hasn’t battled in yet, is King of the Dot.  I think and HFK – Madness battle would be really dope, and insanely funny.

Heartless had some of my favorites in this battle.  I think the best line of the battle was his “I got 16 in the clip, your man get 12….March Madness or you’ll get the Final 4″, but I also really liked the “take him back to school then give him the business – Billy Madison” bar, and the “I’ll cut this fat boy like basketball try outs” line – which was simple but pretty dope.  I would definitely watch a Swave Sevah – Heartless battle, and it probably wont happen, but I think there are some inter-SONS battles that could be really dope, like QP – Heartless or Blackheart Adonis – Heartless.
